MyHEAT helps you see heat loss occurring in your home.
A colored Heat Loss Map of your home’s roof shows where heat loss may be leaking from your home.
A Heat Loss Rating of 1 – 10 helps you understand how much heat loss may be leaking from your home.
The Heat Loss Map and Heat Loss Rating shown above are examples only.
This program does not reveal any personal or private information about your home.
Heat Loss Maps cannot see inside your home. MyHEAT cannot see through windows or walls and does not capture details about people within the building.
Safeguarding your information is of the utmost importance to MyHEAT. Industry-standard best practices are applied to protect your information.

MyHEAT is a technology company that uses aerial thermal infrared images of rooftops to help customers assess heat loss and visually pinpoint where heat may be escaping from their homes.
MyHEAT offers an educational platform that helps customers see their home’s heat loss from a bird’s-eye view, compare it to similar homes in their area, and connect them to energy-efficiency programs through PSEG Long Island’s sponsorship of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program. PSEG Long Island offers a free Home Energy Assessment for every homeowner, regardless of the heating fuel used. An approved participating contractor will give you guidance on saving energy, exclusive rebates and financing. What is a Home Energy Assessment? It’s the first step toward lower energy bills. The independent contractor will check your home for air leaks and opportunities to improve insulation, heating and cooling systems, and appliances. You’ll have a new understanding of energy efficiency improvements that could reduce your energy bills by up to 20%.
As a PSEG Long Island customer, there is no cost for you to access Heat Loss Insights through your unique online Building Profile when the program is launched.
We have teamed up with MyHEAT to promote awareness of energy efficiency and help customers save energy as part of a new program. Not all residents will be able to access heat loss details during the program period.
You may be receiving general information about this program that provides you with a unique link to your Building Profile to learn more about your building’s heat loss and energy-saving opportunities. This information is provided for educational purposes only, and you are not required to complete any actions if you receive engagement through this program. We do recommend, however, learning more about available rebate programs.
Thermal data was collected using a world-class sensor in December 2021 for buildings within the program area. Data is collected with a plane at night when the outside temperature is right around freezing. The collection method is similar to how Google Maps are created and MyHEAT’s sensor cannot see into buildings or through structures to preserve the privacy of customers.
With thermal data, MyHEAT identifies where heat loss is occurring from a bird’s-eye view. This is done using machine learning algorithms, and the final result is the creation of unique heat loss ratings and heat loss maps for individual buildings–offered to customers through an educational platform.
Your home is being compared to homes in your region with the least heat loss.

If the upgrades were made after the collection date of December 2021, the analysis will not capture them.
Your Heat Loss Map and Heat Loss Rating may be impacted by objects on the roof, such as solar panels, or errors with the classification of roof materials or building shape. If you have questions or believe there is an error, please send us an email to HomePerformanceLI@PSEG.com.
