Heat Loss Maps Pricing

Ok great – you’ve seen enough to know our maps might have a place in your program portfolio, and now you want pricing.

While we can’t give you an exact price right now (there are a few reasons for that), we can give you the factors that influence our pricing.

We also know you want a cost-effective, successful program.

Here are the key factors that will determine a project price:

Service Territory Size

How large is the area we’ll be mapping? Is it a large contiguous area, or several smaller disconnected areas? We can map several hundred square miles each night.

Is the desired area densely populated, with lots of buildings? Mapping for building and population-dense areas is generally much more cost-effective. In a dense area, we can engage customers for as little as $1.50 per home/year.

During our data processing, we use a variety of data sets to make the magic happen. A wider array of data sets such as tax parcel, building record, census and open data sets can reduce the time to launch.

Do you need a public, or privately-accessed platform? Do your contractors or approved trade allies and vendors need access? How should the maps look and feel according to your branding?

We partner with you every step of the way, and try to avoid situations where we hand over a map and walk away. We have extensive experience in knowing how to market thermal heat loss to customers, and we see more success when we can share that experience with your teams.

How to work with us and get a quote

1. Define the area to map

We can map a few hundred square miles each night. Once we have the area size and estimated customer and building counts, we'll provide a proposal and quote.

Larger areas with more homes and higher population density are more cost-effective to map.

2. Platform Deployment

Once we've mapped the area with our high-res infrared sensor, we configure and white-label the platform to your requirements.

We make sure all of the right messages, calls-to-action, and program information is ready for your customers.

3. Reach Your Goals

We'll work with your program strategy and marketing teams, as well as your implementer (if you have one) to help design a successful marketing and engagement campaign.

We report on progress against targets frequently, and optimize campaigns to maximize results.

HEAT Maps Pricing FAQ

How long is your average project term/contract?

Our pricing is per year, usually for a 3 or 4 year program term.

Why? – Our experience (and several studies) show that longer programs lead to greater program success. A longer adoption cycle for energy efficiency upgrades and retrofits means customers benefit from marketing campaigns that remind them of the opportunities for their home, and the program and rebate support available.

It…depends. Our mapping takes places in the winter during the heating season. If we sign our contract in July, we’ll start mapping as soon as the conditions are right in November or December. Mapping can take just a few nights, and is followed by data processing and platform configuration. We can launch anywhere from 3-6 months after mapping is complete.

In short, no! As great as your IT team probably is, we know it can extend project timelines if they’re engaged. Our maps don’t require any integration, and contracting with us is definitely easier than your average big IT project.
